So I have been listening to a lot of Gary Moore lately, and playing a lot too. More specifically, Still Got the Blues. You see I've been in love with the way bends and good vibrato sound my entire life, I learned how to do them off the Bending Heaven lesson here, its great...

anyways, I have a digitech rp250 and I cannot get a good Gary Moore tone, especially on the bends. I can get the vibrato pretty well, but the tone is just off. It has too much bite, ya know? Too much high end. Its how I imagine the tone for the climax in a heavy metal solo would sound. My settings right now are set up the same way Ivan has them in this lesson: http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...sound-tutorial/ . I know that its a different type of pedal he has going there, but mine has very similar settings so I just went for it.

Long story short, the tone is no where near what I want. Should I start from scratch? should I just adjust a few things?right now, out of my rp250, these settings make my bends sound to sharp and screechy, especially at high volumes. I usually play metal so I have no idea how to get this pure, deep, bright tone wink.gif

Hey guys I was hoping to figure out what is going on in this song. Its a rare acoustic cover by stabbing westward that I have loved for years but I have no idea how to play it, no tabs anywhere. Its basically 1 or two chord parts for the verse, then in the chorus there is a part that sounds like its on one string to me.

But it also sounds like its in drop D so im totally lost.

Anyways here it is Attached File  Stabbing_Westward___Waking_Up_Beside_You___Acoustic__.mp3 ( 6.15MB ) Number of downloads: 319

Hey guys, I could really use some helping picking out some simple chords and a small run that is being used in a song by stabbing westward. It sounds like its in drop D to be and I'm not sure what the chords are at all. The problem is that I can't show you guys the song because it is super rare acoustic weeks before the band broke up and there isn't a studio version and I can't find it on the net, not even on youtube.

Is there anywhere i can upload it so you guys can hear it (i tried youtube but i have to turn it into a video, not sure how to do that) and maybe help me get the chords and the lil run, its just those two parts in the song.
