When I was in Boston earlier this year I bought myself a Suhr Thornbucker + Bridge and Thornbucker neck pickup with the intention of putting together a double humbucker Tele.

With all the changes in my life at the moment and buying a house, that doesnt look like it will happen for a good while, so I'm going to put them in my Epiphone Dot (yes the pick ups are nearly the same price as the guitar.

I'll try and do a video of the before and after to see if the tones are a noticable improvement.

No Guitar Is Safe - Plini

This a really interesting interview. I'd heard the name Plini about and saw a very quick clip of him.

It really shows what can be done from your bedroom with a bit of effort and skill (ok a lot of skill)

I thought this would be a good place to ask.

I'm starting to record again, and whilst Ezdrummer 2 and all the midi libraries are good, I have a great drummer friend in the UK with one of the decent Roland electronic drum kits.

He's not completely tech friendly, and can record me stereo drums as a WAV file, but I thought it might be good to also get the midi output so I can choose the drums from EZDrummer 2 and mix the drums separately.

Does anyone know if the Roland midi will match up or if the settings for electronic drum kits in EZdrummer will remap a midi file or if it just remaps incoming midi?

Thanks

Just found out Bumblefoot is hosting a guitar camp 30 mins from me in a few weeks, but it's too short notice to attend, I may see if there is any part I can attend

I hope Phil is doing better at attending the Suhr Clinics happening in Birmingham in the next week or so.
Lari Basillio and Pete Thorn will be doing them maybe some others
