Hi Rhida! As I told you earlier, your playing needs to be polished and we are already working on each of the topics (HERE) and techniques you need to improve it, patient and hard work are the keys.
Let's go with some detailed feedback for both recordings: Metal track: This track has some good ideas, but it shows that you need to work on many techniques as well as your melodic sense and rhythm in order to polish your soloing and rhythm skills. The most important things to improve are: - Rhythm: The riffs are not played tight with the drums and this is a big problem because everything you play over it won't sound tight. The base must go with the drums and this is not happening. The "rhythm" section of the routine I assigned you will help you to master this. - Bending: Your bends don't reach the correct pitch most of the times. I've never seen a video from you but I suspect that you are not using extra fingers from your left hand to help the one that is bending and that's why you can't reach the note. It seems to be a strengh problem but your ear can also be responsible. Dedicate the 20 minutes bending section of the routine to fix this problem. - Melodic sense: Your phrasing needs more sense, and the note choices need to be adjusted since most of the times the notes where you stay doesn't fit really good over the chords sounding. This is something that depends on your ear, but also on the connection between your mind (melody maker machine) and your fingers/fret board. You definitely need to develop your ear, improve the connection between mind/fret board and also and the way to practice this is practicing scales over chords, backing tracks and transcribing music. The "Creative Stuff" section of your routine is dedicated to this. - Phrases rhythm: When you improve solos, your phrases keep the same rhythm most of the time and this makes your melodies linear and a bit predictable. Experiment using different rhythms while you jam, during the Creative stuff moment. Blues Track: The blues track has similar issues than the metal one so most of the things detailed previously can be applied to this one too. The only thing that I should add is that your faster licks show a weak Alternate Picking technique. You lost sync between both hands when you play faster and the result is unclean phrases. You also have a 20 minutes Alternate Picking section on your current routine so work on it!  There are two techniques that are fundamental in blues, the first one is bending (my comment about this one is the same than for your metal track) and the second one is Vibrato. Where is your vibrato on this take? Work on it during the vibrato section of the routine! ----- About your sound on both takes, I think that it's not anything to worry about, you have a good sound that you can keep on improving and evolving in order to find the guitar sound that you feel yours and that enhances your own personality. Keep on experimenting, you are on the right track.

This is the list of things to improve: - Tuning: Always check the tuning of your guitar before starting your practice and each recording. - Bending: Practice this technique to reach the correct pitches. - Vibrato: It's weak yet, use the lesson that I suggested to improve it. - Alternate Picking: Your hands are not perfectly synchronized when you play fast AP licks. Ok Rhida, I think that you have a very good energy and that you have to keep this motivation to keep on evolving as a guitarist and musician. Keep on rocking!
