You generally can't go wrong with anything from Altec Lansing. Like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836113016, but also look at others at that site as they have many.

Perhaps you just need speakers with more bass, woofer?
There are many on the market tho.

+1 for Altec Lansing, I had a great pair a few years ago. I now have a pair of Klipsch - they are also pretty good!

Altec Lansing as people have said a re great computer speakers. As Muris says though if you need more bass then a woofer is almost certainly a must. Just make sure that your sound card can do at least 3.1 (ie two speakers plus a woofer) - 5.1 and even 7.1 is pretty common for pc speakers and sound cards now a days.
Cheers,
Tony

If you just want a woofer, you don't usually need a 2.1 card, a regular stereo card should work fine as the woofer is driven off the stereo signal - thats how mine work. For 5.1 and above you definitely need support for it in the card as Tony says.
