A friend of mine was over the other day playing acoustic guitar, and got me interested in it....I currently am burrowing my Uncle Henrys Jackson electrical guitar which has served me more then well.... However I am interested in purchasing an acoustic of some kind.....Should I go with an acoustic electric? Which guitar brand name sells a reasonable acoustic guitar? any suggestions
thanks
greg
get a Martin...They make the best acoustics but are very expensive
So you are looking for steel string acoustic guitar, not the classical guitar ? Tekamine guitars should do the job fine : http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/navigation/guitars?N=100001+304262&Ntt=Takamine&src=3WWRWXO1&ZYXSEM=0
If you have the extra money its always nice to have a guitar that you can plug in into amplifier or wherever...
I happen to own and love a Washburn.
If you don't have the money for a Martin nor a Gibson, Washburn is likely one of the best shots.
Hey Skynyrd check out the Ibanez V70CE acoustic electric. It has gotten great reviews for an inexpensive guitar.
It's a nice sounding affordable guitar without breaking the bank. My wife gave one to me last year as Christmas gift (she was tired of hearing the electric screaming and wailing...LOL) and I am hooked. The past year I've found myself picking it up more than my electric.
Here's a link I found online:

Takamine electro acoustic guitars are very nice for the price, so consider them if you find them in stores.
Get a Takamine, they're so good it's not even funny
Crafter have some good acoustic guitars and very cheap! Maybe you want to check out that brand.
