Sorry for the delay, my fellow travellers of the Way. I had some business to attend to outside of The Temple so our Bushido Business was delayed ! We shall be going to 52, so after this there shall be one final Task for you... ph34r.gif

Task 51: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/tasteful_blues_soloing/

Hail, gentlemen !

I'm giving you some laid back blues but... (there's always a but) these have some really expressive bends so you need to be putting your best foot forward to tackle these bad boys cool.gif

If you can, see if you can get a nice clean, possibly mildly driven tone... if it's too clean it might sound thin and weak so you might need just the tiniest hint of gain just to get it sounding a bit fatter.

I'm looking forward to hearing this !!

Deadline is next Tuesday 29th January or you'll suddenly discover your house keys don't fit your doors any more as the locks have been changed ph34r.gif

Nice one Ben - Ivan's blues phrasing is so good. I hope I can do this justice?

Hello yet again oh Bushido master. smile.gif

Another offering I bring. I must admit master I've been distracted a little. I've been doing alot of sweeping this last week, on the guitar.

I was also distracted by another master of guitar going to his concert "Keith Urban" whom I really enjoyed. He may be a country singer but his guitar playing is more rock. I could hear Mark knofler, David Gilimour, AC/DC licks. I'm not really a county fan but Keith Urban is one of my favorite guitar players.

I'm quite happy with this take and was surprised I guess how quick I got this up to this this level. There's some tricky stuff in here. That string swapping lick on that bend is very hard. I think I could have been a bit in front in a couple of places?

Hell yeah - Z-Master comes in and kicks maxium ass as usual !!

Well for someone who was distracted you sure managed to get into the vibe of this one. Nice bending and vibrato.. I think you should get into more of this type of stuff as it's good practise for developing more feel !! Great work !! biggrin.gif

Sounds great Dian !

My only observations are that you can improve timing in some places. For example, around 0:12 and 0:27 you go in front of the beat a little bit. So try not to rush during the busier licks. It's probably concnetration - it makes most of us rush when we concentrate hard.. so it's only a minor observation.

Aside from that, you're doing a brilliant job !! smile.gif

Wow, a very keen ear, indeed, Ben! : )

I haven't noticed that. I guess I'll have to work extra on it.

Thanks.

It's only a really tiny adjustment. It just means that you've got to be vigilant with not rushing. If you do this stuff during practise, after a while you won't have to worry about it too much when you're doing it for 'real' smile.gif
