Mount & blade is al rpg game in a medieval setting. It's graphics and quests are not on the top but it's gameplay is just AWESOME! You can be the commander of a big army or take control over cities and villages. It's really epic!
So I wonder if anyone of you guys have tried it? I recommend it strongly!

Yeah ive tried it, i think it was descent.

The overall gameplay was fun and it seemed really promising.

I got tired of it after a while though. As in, pretty quickly actually. It was the same thing over and over again imo.

The basic idea of the game is nothing short of brilliant! An Action-RPG-Strategy Game!

However the game was made by a small independet gamestudio so it does not have good graphics, the game is full of bugs and the story, Ai and controls aren't the best either - yet still it can suck you in for a hundred hours of playing if you give it a chance!

I've been playing Mount & Blade for years, one of the best games I've ever played (and I've played quite a few).

Now that the expansion Warband is out, its much improved too, graphically and feature wise. They're working on a patch at the moment thats supposed to fix up some of the remaining bugs and hopefully soon we'll be seeing some great mods coming out.

If anyone does Warband multiplayer, let me know, I'd love to duke it out. I gotta warn you though, you'll probably lose!

You should do it Zsolt! The multiplayer alone is worth it IMO, even that the single player is improved. Taleworlds (the developer) has always catered to the community of modders they have, believe me some GREAT things are in the works there. There was one mod in the works that was done by a guy from another game studio, who redid the landscapes and buildings and made it look truly gorgeous. Unfortunately he didn't finish before the expansion came out, and he hasn't updated it since then though he is still on the forums... strange.

However, some people have taken what he did and are figuring out ways to make it work with the expansion, but there are some minor bugs. It goes to show though, that the basic game concept is solid, and the game engine can actually be made to look very, very good. There are mods for multiplayer as well.
