GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Idea For Admin

Posted by: Phil66 Sep 28 2015, 08:05 AM

I've been struggling lately trying to get to grips with Reaper. GMC or the Reaper forum have always sorted me out but it got me thinking. I think a forum section dedicated to recording techniques video editing and suchlike would be useful. Everything all in one place. I've seen questions about recording in the practise room, the chill out area and the gear area so maybe a dedicated section would be good.
What do you think?
Thanks for everything GMC smile.gif

Noted!

I am all up for creating new sub forums, but it has to be motivated (ie we need a significant amount of discussions on the topic).

With the current amount of activity, we can not motivate splitting the forum up into more sections, as it will shatter discussions rather than serve a purpose.

It was just an idea, maybe having a dedicated section would increase discussion as at the moment people don't really know where to put a question about recording or video editing and some will go elsewhere. It's not really for the practise room, the chillout area or the gear section.
Maybe change the name of one of the sub forums, something like "Practise and Recording Room (Post practise, recording and video questions here) ". At least it will concentrate these type of questions into one area.
You're the pro mate, I may be way off the mark biggrin.gif

There's the old 'Recording and Mixing' section from the previous incarnation of GMC still in the Vintage section.
You can find it http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showforum=39 Phil!!
There's plenty of useful info to be found there, although you will have to search through it!
