That's really cool Cael! I like the style and it must be very funny to play!

The song is full of interesting ideas, and this ideas are clear and well played.

Is it an instrumental band?

Yep, we're going instrumental I think, as the other guys think a singer takes up too much "stage" presence. To some extent I agree, but if it's done the right way then I think it would be okay.

I think that you have two options that are equally cool. The first is going instrumental and trying to create something interesting like Russian Circles and other bands like them. The second option is that one or some of you sing. Both ideas are cool.

Have you seen my new collab idea? I want to make it big so you should be part! smile.gif

Working on a new guitar driven song. This is just Guitar Pro 7 export for now. Just working on the melodies:

EDIT: Done somewhat:

Changed some things towards the end. Maybe it's too much now, but I wanted sort of the climax in the song to be more concentrated with notes.

Hi Cael, I've listened to this track yesterday, and once again today. I have to say that I'm impresed. This is the most fresh and unique composition that I've heard from you. I can feel your influences but I think that this is totally personal and new.

The melodies, the rhythms, everything sounds tasty and interesting. You have something very special here, do you note it?

Thanks, Gabriel! I'm really pleased with this and I'm trying to create some more guitar driven songs. I was about to record "When it Rains", as I called it, but then inspiration for another song arrived!

Now I have 2 songs on the agenda to record. I'm almost considering writing songs for an entire guitar album and THEN record.

Great news mate! I'm writting this while listening to the new track! I think that it's a good idea postpone a bit the recording if you find that you are inspired to compose more music. The more you compose, the more you'll have to choose in the case you decide to go for simples, and EP or even an album!

This new track also sounds interesting, it has a part in the middle that reminds me to a guitarist that I use to listen. I'll share it so you can get idea on production.

Wou!! You are very inspired mate!! smile.gif

You must be having great days or music creation! This new track seems the most progressive and tricky, I can feel some Animals as leader vibes on it, is it possible?

Then I had a break and went in a completely different direction. An half acoustic song (played by keyboard/VST, as I don't have an acoustic guitar) in Danish!

I'm always so indecisive when it comes to want I want to to with music!

Hi Cael! This new tune is an amazing surprise! I really like the song and your vocal performance! It reminds me to my fav Opeth's album Damnation as well as to Steven Wilson's music. I have to say that this has big potential. I would continue exploring in this direction.

Can you hear how cool your voice is? smile.gif

It definitely has more potential to get more views and listeners, that's for sure. It's a way less complex genre, and I'm quite enjoying it smile.gif

I added some harmonies on the vocals smile.gif It's all still in demo phase, I guess, so there's room for changes:

Also, here's a quick translation:

While the rain drums on my window
I weave a melody
I write a note on the paper
And the piano sets it free
Harmonies are being braided
by the silkthread of notes
The sound dances like moths around the flame
And my yesteryears blossoms fully

In the light of the lanterns of a thousand memories
Remember it as it was

I see fields waving
In the warm summerwind
The lark sings it's song
As the sun's guest of honour
Under the blue skies
Behind the bay's calm ocean
Lies Helnæs (Danish city) in the near horizon
From the South of Fuen's land of joy

In the light of the lanterns of a thousand memories
Remember it as it was

Through the fields, the forest and meadows
we wandered at the edge of the ocean
It's an era that has had it's time
The days passed and that time is over

In the light of the lanterns of a thousand memories
Remember it as it was
In the light of the lanterns of a thousand memories
Remember it as it was

"The tooth of time" (danish saying) chews everything
And the glow of nostalgia disappears
But when all is said and done
I hope our time remains
Under the blue skies
Behind the bay's calm ocean
where Helnæs [Danish city] is near the horizon
From the South of Fuen's [The Island I grew up on and live on now again] land of joy

In the light of the lanterns of a thousand memories
Remember it as it was

Through the paths beneath the birch trees
Far from the city's racket and noise
A picture worth a thousand words
Painted by the stroke of remembrance

In the light of the lanterns of a thousand memories
Remember it as it was
In the light of the lanterns of a thousand memories
Remember it as it was
In the light of the lanterns of a thousand memories
Remember it as it was
In the light of the lanterns of a thousand memories
Remember it as it was

Hi Cael! This is getting better and better. The harmonies add a lot to the song so I woudl continue exploring with this. There is a moment close to the end where the vocal lines are completely panned. That's a weird decision, I would keep your lead vocal in the center.

Other than that, this song is amazing. I recommend you to work on the mix of the last two ones and release them as an EP.
