Problem With Stretches

I am having probel playing theese patterns on the E A and D string

E -8-10-12

When getting up to the eight fret i am having problems reaching the notes. Especially when going up in the scale......

Does anyone know how to improve that

These can be quite difficult to do at first. The best thing for me is to keep my thumb at the back of the guitar neck and that way you generally get a wider stretch. This might seem odd at first if you're not used to doing it but its nothing practice won't fix smile.gif

As Steve said, to do these stretches you need to have your thumb on the back of the neck, the classical guitar position, and then shift it up as reaching treble strings smile.gif

Also please make sure that besides putting your thumb on the back of the neck to also move your fingers in such a position that your fingertips are pointed almost 90 degrees towards the fretboard. I made that mistake to keep them more aligned, which seriously made those stretches more difficult, even when you have the thumb right.

That second part is very tough even with my fingers ohmy.gif To get it in tempo must do a lot of work, but that`s great!
