Sorry to hear about your carpal tunnel Are you looking for PC/Mac apps or apps for ipad and that kind of thing? If it's for your computer, I'd say go download the SAMPLE TANK FREE from ik multimedia.
It's a sound engine with wads of free sounds. Youll need either a midi controller or some stock midi to drive the sounds. http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/sampletank/ Hey all, Im with carpal tunnel syndrome on left wrist for almost a month and not sure yet if will need cirgury so I at leat one more month out of guitar Not be completelly out I would like to play with some apps to fill in the guitar riffs I save like drums, keyboard and bass, what do you recommend? Preferably free |

You are good to go on gear SAMPLETANK has WADS OF BASS patches. Some sound like instruments, some are synths. But check them out. You can always add real instruments with upgrade packs. Sampletank is a great platform especially for free
For your iOS devices, there is a FREE app called GROOVE MAKER That will generate drum and bass lines all day long Here is a link. http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/gmiphone/ Thanks Todd, will try it out.
