This is a great thread. 2013 has been a very intense year for me since I moved, and my band Cirse recorded and edited a new album. We worked very hard on the album and had our best year in band's history. More concerts, more press diffusion, and more audience in concerts, we could play in international festivals... I also moved with my girlfriend to the center of the city and a new life has started for me, full of love and nice moments. (also with lots of electricity cuts!).
I failed with gym... the busy days made it very difficult but I hope to give it more priority the next year. Maybe some of you will like to check this thread: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...showtopic=47341 -------------------- My lessons

Interesting topic My goal for 2013 was to get sweep picking at a level similar to my alternate picking level. I didn't achieve this goal but I am not entirely unhappy either. I am more comfortable with sweeping definitely now compared to beginning this year. I also finished a nice lesson that had some sweeps in.. For 2014, I want to continue on this goal and also improve my articulation.. Well done mate.Sweep picking is to advanced for me 2014 Goals Scale and fretboard knowledge Pentatonics / Blues scale Knowing all pentatonic note names in all 12 keys Knowing all 5 pentatonic patterns in all 12 keys Locating chord shapes and arpeggios within pentatonic pattern and area of fretboard Moving between adjacent patterns smoothly on any string Pentatonic interval sequences and runs Adding additional notes (chord tones and modal accents) Major Scale Knowing all note names and intervals in all 12 keys Knowing all 7 positions in all 12 keys Locating Chord shapes and arpeggios within each scale position Moving between adjacent patterns smoothly on any string Interval Sequences Triads and Arpeggios Adjacent String Pairs, adjacent 3 string String Skipping arpeggios Lead Technique Alt Picking 1/4,1/8, Triplet and 1/16 notes (speed drills) Hybrid Picking Single lines and doublestops (3rd and 6ths in all keys) Legato Even volume of notes Smooth transition between strings and position shifts No unwanted string noise Increasing speed String Skipping Arpeggios Pedal tones Chord work Extended chords / Slash chords Learning shapes and using them in progressions Chord Inversions Rhythm Work Hybrid Picking rhythm Accenting subdivisions Learning and analysing favourite riffs Creating riffs I'm going through all my instructional material to put courses with all these goals etc and making use I can apply any thing I work on musically. Yeah sometimes it feels like there is not enough hours in a day to do what you want.I do a program called insanity which is a intense cardio workout. It lasts around 40minutes and do it in my house. Just checked your thread it is very interesting to read. Thanks for posting |

My goals for 2014: - Learn more about guitar playing - Sustainability (not very common word for me), I mean that I have started so many times to play guitar and then give up, when is not so easy anymore some other meaning for my guitars than dust collectors ..I mean some respect to my guitars and play more - Play something more than just some riffs from here and there, so then it's easier to go to Guitar Shop to buy or even test some guitars ..LOL... so embrassing to play some Enter Sandman intro or something like that when salesman standing there and looking with face...not again. ..LOL - Enjoy the trip to be a better guitar player with you guys here in GMC and I hope you'll enjoy it too Hi mate, I'm here stealing these goals to add them into Gab's Army thread. -------------------- My lessons

Also since I just started the beginner fingerpicking lesson, finding a way to not make my fingertips so ticklish would make this a lot easier.
