Man it sounds like the right choice, thats exactly what i want. The Jackson Soloist with the old pile of skulls paint job.I had a sweet DK2 with that paint job and its awesome.Have you seen Warren Demartini's new custom Charvel ?Its looks like it would play really nice, and Warren is an awesome guitarist Definatly one of my favorite lead guitarist

My Gear
Cort X-2 electric with 24 frets and 2 humbucker's dark Blue
Kustom DFX100 With Celestion Speakers, and thats it now (lol)

My Advice
Figure out what you want in life early.Wether it's the girl, the partying
or mastering the guitar.Adding any 2 together will get in your way.

thats the exact same guitar I`, using at the moment, the DK2 Pile of Skulls, fantastic guitar, my only grumble with it was the pickups, the bridge I felt was a too bright and the single coils quite simply terrible laugh.gif

I replaced the bridge with a Kent Armstrong (awesome tone) and oddly enough I changed the front pickup with a fender lace sensor pickup, just something I thought I`d try and I gotta say that sounds sweet also! my main guitar for some time now, I`d be gutted if it broke, lost etc

In the main I`ve always been a Jackson fan, they seem to "fit" me just right and feel comfotable for my fretting hand, I`d love a soloist model! maybe when my bank balance has recovered from my MK Custom laugh.gif

I decided with all this talk of Jackson Soloist's to check them out....and I found this:

http://www.guitar-mania.com/jackson-solois...ural-p-177.html

WOOOOOOW!!! What a superb looking guitar....i love natural finishes, or similar finishes like Gibson's Trans Amber. The Jackson looks amazing, I will have to try and play one of them.......

Iain!

THat's a nice choice for you needs man. If you don't need a massive sound from the Gibson and wanna little thinner sound but with more versatility in terms of bending the strings than I guess Soloist is the way to go.
