Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mate,

This lesson needs more time but your are doing the things well. The only detail that I'd like to comment is that you could put more focus on making the fingers movements smaller. Try to keep the left hand fingers closer to the frets when you quit them, this will affect positively the efficience of your technique.

There are obvious issues with hands sync when playing the faster sections, and there is still work to do regarding dynamics, so focus on this elements and your alternate picking technique will keep on improving.

That's all from me for this one, keep on practicing!

Hey there!
Generally it's a piece of good, hard work that needs only some little extra polishing. Your right hand is very consistent in it's motions. Your thumb to index grip is flexible and hand looks quite relaxed while playing. I would use a little more flat pick to string angle in the middle part for more tone than pick slant noise. In the final part you need to watch out for last note of each run. You tend to loose them focusing on next run everytime too early. I generally rest my right palm lower than you - more on the bridge than the guitar body. I then move it from saddles to low strings while I go to play on first 3 strings. Don't you have a feel that some low strings are not with constant touch with your right palm? Anyway...some of these tips are partially subjective so worth to recheck but not necessary a 100% solution.

Very nice!

First I just want to make sure that when you are actually practicing this lesson you spend most times on a slower backing track. The reason I ask is because every time you practice something with mistakes continuously for a longer period you consolidate the (bad) habit.

However even though there mistakes here and there, you clearly show you ar eon a path towards great control.

Also, you seem to use a bit more wrist than Darius and and bit less elbow/arm. This is not necessarily a bad thing. I find that lots of wrist movement gives great flexibility ( = ability to cross string in various ways) but a bit less consistency. So I find this technique a bit more prone to mistakes which could perhaps explain some of the misses here.

All in all - well done, you get a 7 from me.
