GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ Summer Vacation Over!

4 weeks of almost no playing and works starts at monday! Do I feel inspiration on hitting the strings again? YES

I couldnt have a better start.. Here it goes:

Yesterday I went with my gf to växjö city (where we live) Sweden. Just wanting to hang out a bit and have some drinks and relax..
So we went in to a bar/pub and sat there for a while. And we heard that a band was playing at 23.00 so we decided to take a look at it.
The band was Grand Illusion, a swedish AOR band..
Well, the band played and it was Really good
I stood in front of one of the guitarplayers and I know I had seen him before..somewhere...And the guitar seemed so familiar to! Then I said to myself that he looked like Muris a bit, but it couldnt be..why in earth would he play here??

After a while the singer presented the band and the first one he mentioned was: On guitar - Muris Varajic!
It was really a chock I just stood 1 meter away from him all the time and study all his playing!
I really must say, he is truly one amazing player!

After the gig I went straight to him and asked if I could have a talk. So I said I was a student at GMC and how excellent player he was and all that A really nice guy! It was hes first gig with the band and he only had 3 rehearsals before hitting the stage, and he was flawless!

Just wanted to share this special moment with u! Sometimes your lucky and he gave me a lot of inspiration to keep on practise

That's cool! It's great when you casually see a band live and you get a surprise about them. And it's even cooler to find Muris there! He is an awesome guitar player and he put here some of the most amazing lessons.

Nice story for sure, I'd love to see Muris live some day too, he totally rocks.

Yeah, hes one of a kind

Cant believe how small the world is, and in a little pub in a middlebig town in Sweden. And then walk in and not having any clue who's playing..

Muris is really an all-around great guy, and extraordinary good guitar player/musician
