Hi all,
Can you play lots of famous song intros? Beware!
Featuring GMCer Keilnoth & based on http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=28993, cartoon artist Jason Nocera reminds us of a golden rule: learn full songs!
Thanks Jason!
Remember that you can read all previous GMC funnies issues in our http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/wiki/index.php/GMC_Funnies
LOL! This is great. My wife was just having this discussion with me yesterday. "You only learn the riffs, and then don't play the song." Another classic example captured in comic. Nice work!
Excellent awesome and so true!
This is so true!!! We all been in this situation where we are asked what can we play and answer is only "Intro of that song, chorus of that one, verse of that"...
good one!
It happens sometimes!
hahah I remember this tread. Another great one
Reminds me of myself
This is why I started to learn full songs!!. Hahaha. Great one!
It happens indeed.
Hehe, there is a lot of truth in these comics ! The most horrible thing to say though, as a lead guitarist, is "I can play (for example) the entire Enter Sandman !" without actually knowing the solo ! In my opinion, knowing a song's solo ALMOST makes you worthy of knowing the whole song, without knowing the rest of it, as the solo is what's usually the most demanding part of a song...
I guess I sometimes only learn solos and riffs in songs, and when I don't know the rest I improvise/jam...
hahahahaha!!! awesome as always!
Hhehhe, great drawing and humor, another awesome cartoon!
Very humorous but instructive!
Haha We all have been there!
Ahah, OMG! Me in a cartoon. Can't believe that.
Thank you, will change my signature now.
Yesterday I started to learn Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness from the Smashing Pumpkins. I know, it's piano. But still nice to play on the guitar as well.
Jason does it again!!
Same thing with me I normally dont bother to learn the whole song but well maybe I should make a change with that
Haha same thing here!
