Dearest Guitar Pick, a breakup letter...

To start, I just want to say that its not you, its me. My style is evolving. My senses developing a taste for jazz, fingerstyle and flamenco and my fingers are developing an attachment to the strings and frankly, you're kind of getting in the way of that. No, I shouldn't say that. Its just, we're both growing more and more apart and when we're together I feel like its more out of habit and comfort. To be honest with you, it makes me feel trapped; like I cant grow and develop my personal style if I stay with you. I'm dropping you and losing you more and more and its not like you're always around when I need you anyway. I'm not gonna pretend like you didn't mean anything to me. We had some great times. You were my first for a lot of things..... You were there when I learned my first scales and my first chords. Hey, remember when we learned how to alternate pick together? Do you remember? All those nights....I was so frustrated and I felt like I hated playing guitar for a while. I thought we would never get it down at first..... but then eventually it just clicked. We clicked... ......but that was then, and this is now. I know it doesn't mean anything at this point, but I am sorry. Things have gotten out of hand (pun intended) and its time for us to part ways. I wish you the best of luck in the future and I hope we can still be friends. Yours Truly Spiderusalem P.S.
