You should browse the internet, and you never know, you might find something you really really want that you used to love alot. I just watched "300" for the 100th time (i still love it) and thinking about Frank Millers comics of this movie got me thinking about other ones, next thing you know, I bought The Illusrated Warrior #1-7 (all of them) by Billy Tucci, and "The Definitive Shi" Collection by him as well, all at once for over $65.

Something like that could happen to you smile.gif

This guy is sick when it comes to comics. Its nothing like any convetional comics, this thing is like gore with hints and small dash of philosophy. Really great. The guys name is Jose btw. Check out his websites, he has a couple

Last I read some years ago was Watchmen. My wife is friends with Bryan Talbot's wife - believe he's a good illustrator...

Cheers
Tony

ps my wife tells Bryan that I'm a good guitar player so don't believe a word that a spouse says ohmy.gif

Bryan Talbot is great - did some awesome work on some issues of my all time favorite - Sandman.

Other than that, once again I'm a sucker for the classic, potentially pretentious stuff...

Watchmen and V for Vendetta by Moore and Gibbons/Lloyd
Akira by Katsuhiro Otomo (of course)
Signal to Noise and Violent Cases by Gaiman and McKean
Cages by McKean
Arkham Asylum by Morrison and McKean (hate the writing, love the art)
And when a kid, I really loved the Phoenix/Dark Phoenix Saga of X-Men.

Never quite liked Miller's stuff - wonderful artwork, but his writing doesn't catch me.

I prefered Miller for his art, his writing is pretty cool though. Sin City ok, the only writing i REALLY Liked of his was 300, I have a thing for historical type subjects, and when i bought the graphic novel of 300 about 2 years ago, i though it was great.

"Fact is, nothing in the world bores me more than gear...If I played thru your rig, I would still sound like me. Van Halen would sound like Van Halen. Brian May...etc. Very early in my career I decided to focus on creating music and not being a guitar tech. Being a good guitar tech is a very different and extremely difficult job, so why not leave it to a pro?"

There making alot of movies of comic books now, the biggest one being Iron Man, which looks to be pretty intense.
