Effects on the BOSS will most likely be better than those on the MG.
I'd go the good clean channel amp + multieffects route -------------------- Guitars:
Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster, Ibanez RG2570MZ, Epiphone SG G-400 Amp: Vox AC4TVH head + V112TV cab Effects: Vox Satchurator, Vox Time Machine, Dunlop CryBaby, Boss MT-2, Boss CE-5, Boss TU-2, Boss ME-70 Recording: Line-6 POD X3 + FBV-Express, Pandora PX5D GMC wants YOU to take part in our Guitar-Wikipedia! Ok! So what kind of ampli do you suggest? Budget around € 160. Just home practice.

My advice is to get Marshall and boss when you have separate units you have more control and more ways to adjust your tone

You have a wide range of small practice amps for that price, my favorite is Vox Pathfinder 15R ! With an external cabinet, I've played club gigs on it !

How bout Roland Cube? It's an awesome amp with effects and modelling, and I think it's better sounding then Marshall, at least cleans are, and distortion is probably more versatile (I think there is an option to add footswitch too).

The best would be to go to a music store and try different ones until you fin one that you like and feel comfortable with the sound.

The Roland Cube has an output for Headphones/Recording out. It means that I can plug this output to my m-audio and record the sound of the amp on my sequencer? Sure, you can do that. -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

Most of today's amps have line out/recording out, so just to add: check out various options, and as Gab and others said: try before you buy in the store, you will have more clearer idea about what it sounds like, as opposed what says "on paper".

So are you suggesting a 'clean' Marshall (no effects) + boss ? Yes, or a Marshall with just a couple effects like distortion, overdrive, chorus. -------------------- |
