Take 2: Picking Hand Basics, Lesson By Ben Higgins |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi Anese! Congrats on this take! I'm with Cosmin about the next step on the work of this lesson. You have improved your timing a lot, so you have to continue practicing in order to give more "life" to your playing. Play the figures trying to feel the groove of the backing in order to make your playing sound more connected with the backing track. As Cosmin said, your picking is still rigid, try to make your hand flow smoother while you play, trying to get a more dynamic and groovy playing.
I think that you are now ready to start working on some other lessons based on this technique, as a complement to this one. These are some ideas: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Altern...king-Workout-2/ https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/legato...cking_beginner/ https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...picking-thirds/ Keep on the good job! -------------------- My lessons
