Hi: I have followed advice to record to video wearing earphones, then mix that with backing track in Reaper into an mp3 or wav. But what is the best way to put that back into the Video? I know there is a product call Vegas that will do that, but they want major money.

Another question, in Reaper, is there any trick to lining up the track other than dragging them by ear? I took off the snap to grid so the range is continuous. Still it is kind of tricky to set the synch between tracks exact.

thanks in advance.

Hi fkalich - sorry for the delay - been away for the weekend.

Afraid I can't help much with the video as I've never used it. The commercial DAWS not generally include video/music sync editing as part of their packages but I'm not aware of a freeware/shareware one that does it yet - sorry.

On the moving a track - if you right click on the track you want to move the seconf option is "Item Properties'' (hot key is F2 if you have the track highlighted). This will open up a dialogue box where you can more accurately set the 'Position' of the track down to a millisecond or so - that should let you line them all up with pretty much pin point accuracy smile.gif and then click 'apply' and the track will reposition itself on the time line.

Cheers,
Tony
