The guy is in my area and I am going to go make sure it works tomorrow.
http://springfield.craigslist.org/msg/1813411946.html

I have noticed that the guy has been posting stuff as if he thought he was going to really get into playing and gave up. So he probably hardly used it. In fact on a Marshall amp listing that he has posted he stated almost exactly that.

I have read reviews on the thing and they seem pretty good. I have a little Fender FM15DSP that I have hooked other similar (line6) multi-effects pedals to and it really adds to the versatility of the amp and sounds great. I don't do any gigs and want to mic the amp (another thread) and record from it eventually..maybe. I'm not sure what I'm doing yet and usually just play through guitar port and monitors and I rarely crank it up.

$75 seems like a good deal to me but does anyone have an opinion (good, bad, indifferent) on this pedal?

There are some older threads on this item and I read through them already.

The pedal is alright if you don't have a modeler of some kind already. 75$ is too much though - it would be alright if it were the used version of the newer RP255 but it's the outdated 250 model...

Good to know. I will haggle.

I don't have a modeler but have tried friends of mines and tested some that I "borrowed" from Guitar Center.

Its a nice multieffects unit. But you shouldn't expect wonders. Though delay, reverb and similar effects should be nice. Try to bargain for a better prize and get it if you need such device.

I bought it. Reset it to factory and only played around with it for a few minutes. It all works but I can't give it a good test while others are sleeping.

Allright then! I got the new RP155, which is quite similair I suppose, and I'm having a blast with all the effects.
IMO, a multi-effect unit is a good option until you know which effects you really.
When you know, you can get specific gear for better price smile.gif

Yes this is my point too. Multieffects units are great for home use and experimenting. They tend not to sound great in live situations (gigs/rehearsals). Everyone should get one (cheap) in the beginning if he is interested in learning about different effects. Then you can always buy separate stomp boxes for effects you like the most and get a better quality sound.
