BTW it's not a music book, but it usually happens, almost all this books are about technique but there are few that talk about music like the "melodic control" (DVD) from Marty Friedman and the "Rock Guitar Secrets" (for my the best guitar book, technique and theroy united) by Peter Fisher... For some reason none of the videos on this site have helped me with speed and ive practiced some of them alot. Why am i seeing no progress? Having both, I will say that GMC has helped me more than the DVD. I mean, it's pretty cool to see inside the head of one of the virtuosos of our time, but by virtue of shelling out the cash for that DVD, it's not going to make you practice more. The petrucci chromatic exercise on the DVD is decent for helping build speed, although I would contend not as useful as the 7 church mode workout by Walliman here on GMC. However, Petrucci's book "Wild Stringdom" which is a compilation of his guitar world columns is like $15 and every bit as good. You are at GuitarMasterClass.net Don't miss today's free lick.
