Hello!

Well I´m starting to panic here.

Been playing guitar for some years on and off.

It totaly feels like I´m stuck, getting nowhere.

I´m practising lessons and exercises but it´s always the same it seems.

My fingers doesn´t do like I want. Been playing the classic exersice 1,2,3,4 on all strings for years with a metronome and it seems like I never will play it clean in more than 160bpm.

Does anyone have any tips on a practising schedule just for some speed and cordination? And how I should practise.

Best regards
Anders

You need to mix up you Practising, do different patterns, different techniques, Differnent style.....

I know from personal experience that playing the same stuff over and over again is only fun for a while

Mix it up a bit and you will improve and stay motivated

Do something completely different for a while! Drop the 1,2,3,4 practice routine and go wild playing only fun stuff for a few weeks, learn a few songs, apply some new techniques one at a time into your noodling and songs.
Then after, of course, go back with your normal practice routine.

Go wild wink.gif

I agree. Learn some songs that you like, after all guitar playing boils down to playing songs & having fun!

Some of the best songs ever created are easy to play. Music is magical.

Maybe the clinic "Chopbuilder" by Frank Gambale can help you. It's a workout about 1 hour without stops, so it's like a training and you have to play over it the whole time.
It's pretty complete and it gives you discipline and accuracy.

That could be a solution if you don't know how to develop a schedule.

That's all ok. Trust me that after 26 years of playing I sometimes feel the same. Muris said a good thing "Try new stuff" smile.gif

You need a site new fresh set of exercises like everybody said! smile.gif Check out some cool techniques that you like and try to play them, see what the issues are, and work on them. Develop as many techniques as you can.
