Hi! Again an electronic track made for a game. This time I've focused more on creating a pleasant soundscape while using modern and retro sounds. Feel free to give feedback! There's certainly a lot that can be improved. Would you like it to be longer? What would you do with this track in the condition it's in now?

I often feel very comfortable writing in almost any style of music if I can focus the composition on melody and harmony. In this track I tried to focus more on a simplistic groove to begin with, however! as you can probably hear it ended up very "note-y" and with a lot of focus on melodies. This is something I always tend to do.

What are some of your idiosyncrasies when trying to compose in a new style?

Very cool stuff!! Your range of musical expression continues to amaze me Verc. I'm guessing next time you will have some Gypsy/Bubble Trans/Ukranian Metal/Blues going?
Can't wait smile.gif

Very hard to think of any improvements, this seems pretty perfect for its (game music) purpose.

I absolutely love the high quality retro sounds, I am very unused to hearing them like this biggrin.gif

Now of course - throwing in some rhythm guitars where the beat kicks in, would take the track to a very different place..! smile.gif

I dig the three different 'lead' synth melodies (kinda Weather Report ish) and how it goes into a "3" feel near end.
Good job!

You're way too kind Kris! Thank you. It is a bit unorthodox seeing them in this light for me too. I think there's potentially a very cool thing about treating these very simple pulse-waves with a lot of production detailing. At least that's what it felt like when working with them.
I'll think about the rhythm guitar for the next one!

Thanks Ken! I'll see where I can take my next project. Maybe a "5" feel? smile.gif
