I was given a lot of good advice when I asked for a compromise between the Black Jazz III and the thicker Tortex "rock" picks.

I was looking at Devo's and a couple others when I saw my brother using the ULTEX Jazz III.

I asked him where he got it from, he said that I gave it to him.

Whatever, these picks are AWESOME.

They seem easier to grip, the tone is fatter, I get a better and harder attack on the strings because they seem a little thicker, and they are so durable.

If you like any of the Jazz III's the Ultex Jazz III must be tried!

I heard much good things about them, are there >1.5mm picks? Or only 1.14mm or something?

I think they are 1.34mm, which is slightly thicker than the Jazz III yet thinner than the 1.5mm Tortex I was using.

They are 1:1 identical in size and shape to our beloved standard Jazz III but the material is insanely hard and sturdy and the material has a much better grip and ofcourse it sounds diffrent.

They "dig" into the strings with much more force and adds such fatness to the tone.
