On a related note I had not thought of before, it could probably be interested to see a slow motion comparison of one's own slow and fast picking. I know Troy Grady has videos like this for the guests he had on his show, but as we've just established, these things are very individual and sometimes it's not all that easy to see someone else do a specific smaller motion or approach and then apply it to your own picking hand.

I think my phone is capable of recording in 60 frames per second and it might be interesting to do some experiment and see what happens by slowing that footage down smile.gif Of course a camera with actual slow motion capabilities.

I think my mom's newer Samsung S21 phone can actually do 720p up to 960 frames per second. Might have to borrow that for a few minutes one day she's visiting me. smile.gif

Borrowed my mom's phone to record some super slow motion shots for a minute while she was visiting me. Done absolutely cold and I want to do some better recordings at some point.

Very cool indeed!!! I have seen TROY's vids using slow motion and it's very helpful IMHO. Thanks much for sharing this. I'd have liked to see more of a close up on your hands, your picking hand in particular. But live and learn. I think my phone can do slow mo as well. gonna give it a whirl!!

Yeah, I just did a quick recording. I didn't want to keep her phone for too long as she was only visiting for 10 minutes.
