Not for that long, just a week I'll be going to back home to Massachusetts for a day then off to Greece to visit my relatives, should be fun. I had a layover in Athens a while back, and right after I left there was an earthquake. Mother nature missed me that time, so I hope she doesn't recalibrate and get me this time Has anybody been to Greece? Do you guys recommend any places to visit in Athens?
Edit: I meant to say I hope there is "NO" earthquake...there is a slight miscommunication between my mind and my fingers.
changed the title for you- chris
You're going to Greece ? Brutal I'd love to see it, there's so much history there and legends from there ! I'd have to go and visit the Hot Gates !
Yes, do try and avoid any natural disasters.. I would hate it if our ridiculous forum covos were no more !
Have a nice trip mate

And don't forget to sepnd as many dollars (or rather euros) as possible in Greece...these guys need it
I have never been there myself, but it's on my to do list...but if you want history, the places to go should be pretty obvious (and crowded as well).
Have fun and see you and your hilarious forum topics when you're back

Well I'm back, thanks for all your well wishes guys It was a great trip, the weather was perfect just about everyday we were there. The food was excellent and my god were the women gorgeous, all praise be to Aphrodite. I could write a whole post about them.
There wasn't an earthquake this time but there was other trouble, go figure. Seems like the story of my life. Right down the street from where we were staying, a Greek man was robbed and murdered while taking his wife to hospital to give birth. This area is happens to be heavily populated with immigrants, so consequentially they took the blame for the incident. Immediately afterwards riots erupted, and riot police were dispatched in full force. Greek riot police are a rough and tough looking lot, their shields and helmets are completely battered, and the expressions on their faces suggest they just ate a shit sandwich. Its quite apparent they have been through many riots. These riot police were also enormous, as big as a compact car, or an average cheeseburger-eating American. The Greek police must have them on a steady diet of souvlaki and baklava. So other than that, the trip went great
