Sucks that our hands/wrists are so delicate yet they are the vital part of our playing!

yeah, I would suggest to not practice as much until the discomfort goes away,
it's better to do it now than to face more serious problems. -------------------- Visit my:

Lifting weights too much can be a bit of a problem, because the strain is on the wrists. Try to keep the exercises a bit lighter.

I think you should stop lifting weights until you see the doctor and hear what he says. You are also practicing guitar a lot. You can do it but make sure that you rest enough during your sessions. At least 15 minutes each hour. Also proper warm up at start is a must.

This routine should be enough to get everyone going (or burried) |

Maybe you're not warming up and you pick up your guitar and instantly, play fast things or licks that demands effort. Always remember to warm up or play easier things before going to more difficult things.

Well the doctor just said it was either a sprain or repetative strain injury and that the only thing was to strap it up to support the wrist, take regular ibuprofen to reduce inflamation and rest it.. and unfortunatley is slow recovering so I could be out for a further few weeks! oh well could be worse... Sorry to hear that... You should rest it a bit, take the time to read theory or do some guitar learning without the actual need to play. In a week you should already know the results and you will most likely recover, just make sure that once get back to playing - start really slow with long warm-ups. -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net
