Have anyone seen Red Hot Chili Peppers ? They were here but we were unlucky for the weather and organizers did something wrong so they played only 9-10 songs and it was announced like 20+ songs concert Very good show though...I don't think they won't be coming back because people who came to see them (150 000+ of them) were very unsatisfied and angry when they finished the show after such small number of songs (without playing under the bridge on encore too ) so they started throwing stuff at the stage and those pour technicians up there.. I would love to see them again though...
Let's see, In no real order but just a taste. I forgot more than I remember (I think the 80's almost killed me...lol.) and only god knows how many bands that were back ups or nobodys when I first saw them
I collected all the ticket stubs from every show I ever saw. I think the last count before I packed away all the stubs was 384 concerts from 1977-2007

+ an assorted lot of rock and blues artists I have forgot about.
The tops being my first Pink Floyd and the latest Waters earlier this year.
The worst ones where UFO, the bassist was sooo drunk and kept falling of the stage, and ZZ Top. I love them but the concert was boring. Dylan was just plain boring too.
I'm surprised people know about, and have actually seen, bands like Gong, Good Rats and Be Bop Deluxe.
Ok i gotta ask .
I see afew of you guy's were luckey enough to see Metallica.I would take away all the bands i have seen just to have seen them black album or before. So were any of you luckey enough to actually watch Metallica live during Master of Puppets tour or before when Cliff was still alive and playing??Thats the real Metallica for me atleast and even Jason would have been great to see,but with Rob playing Bass now it just doesnt seem like the real band He's an awesome bass player but even if i saw them live now it wouldnt be half as good as if it were 10 years ago
When they were here few years ago , they put on a great show! They knew that people here wanted to hear the old stuff and not the new St.Anger so they gave it to us! It was just great..
Ok, here goes nothing:

+1 with Dogman albeit I'd say it was maybe even better been a teenager in the mid/late 70s . Regardless it was a great time to grow up particularly if you were in to music. I was and I was lucky that instead of sports (sorry all you sports fans ) I went to gigs a lot instead.
Scary bit now for me is seeing a lot of my rebeliousness coming out in my daughter . Oh well at least I can tell her 'from experience don't do THAT!!!!'

btw im only 14 so the list is still growing
Eesh. Tough question...there's been do many, I couldn't possibly keep track. I live near Washington, DC so pretty much every band on a major tour ends up here. When I was younger, I'd go to a lot of the summer festival shows and end up seeing 10-15+ bands in a day.
I could go through some highlights (excluding local, small-ish bands that most folks wouldn't know). Probably not going to be able to not explain them though. Here's the easy list, I could probably do more if I spent more time thinking about it.
Everclear (2x..met my wife during their set at a festival show and again later at a county fair )
Foo Fighters (better live than on their albums, I think)
Prodigy (not really a band, but still)
Marilyn Manson (6-7x probably since '93, including multiple shows when John5 was in)
Ozzy solo multiple times and with Sabbath (Ozzfest)
Gravity Kills (I miss them)
The Cult
Gary Numan (2x)
Stabbing Westward (5-6x at least. I miss them a lot)
Depeche Mode (2-3x)
Primus (at least 5x including the last one when the played Sailing the Seas of Cheese as a 2nd set)
Metallica (1996 when they did Lollapalooza)
Soundgarden (3x, I think including one of the last dates of the last tour, I miss them)
Rick Springfield (county fair again...)
Nine Inch Nails (only 3x...longtime fan never had a chance to go before the With Teeth tour)
Pantera (4x or so, starting in 94 til 2000 I think)
Godsmack (opening for Stone Temple Pilots)
Stone Temple Pilots
RHCP (with Dave Navarro)
Millencolin
Offspring
Donots
Pleymo
Les Chameleons
Incubus
Iron Maiden
In Flames
Prodigy
The Darkness
Lauren Harris
Mastodon
Reel Big Fish
Saxon
Testament
Megadeth
3 Doors Down
Machine Head
Sepultura
Within Temptation

Yeah, something like that...most of these bands have been at the Desert Rock festival, which is awesome. Korn are coming this year, and Machine Head are returning

Steve Vai
Joe Satriani

11) Rob Zombie
12) Shadows Fall (blew out my hearing in my right ear for 2 days)

I highly recommend everyone see Phil Anselmo in Down - he's got Rex from Pantera, Pepper Kenan(Corrosion of Conformity), Kirk Winstein (Crowbar), and Jimmy Bower (Eyehategod & SJR)
Bower Power

H.I.M (Supporting Metallica at Wembley Arena)

I also think that going to a concert makes you feel like you are part of the music, it is just fantastic, I could easily say that the best hours of my life have been spent in a concert.
Even though I an only seventeen I have seen: Pearl Jam, Toto, Cage, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Deep Purple, The Scorpions, The G3 with Eric johnson, Coldplay, Aerosmith, Depeche mode, Mago de Oz (Amazing Spanish Band), and I am going to see Iron Maiden for the first time in february.

Where you saw Edguy live?
Greetz Edguy:)
lots of you guys probably know that im younger, so i havnt seen very many live bands...
Live(thats the band name lol)
Collective Soul
Counting Crows
and lots of local Christian bands trying to get a record deal, and i dont even remember their band names..
No good bands ever come to the biggest city in the southeast: Atlanta. It is ridiculous and really starting to make me mad because I live kinda close to there. Megadeth came to the southeast and made a huge circle around Georgia, and never touching it; playing concerts in Birmingham, Alabama; Orlando, Florida; Nashville, Tennessee; and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. So yea I was pretty mad considering they are one of my favorite bands. My other favorite bands never leave Europe and have been there for like 10 years, Metallica for example.
Anyway even though I live near Atlanta the only good bands that have came and I've seen here in the last 10 years it seems are
Motley Crue
Def Leppard
Styx
Foreigner
They are all hair metal, 80s rock bands, not my favorite, but better than nothing. I'm seeing Van Halen on Feb. 10th though.
I don't get crap out here...there's only been a couple of Christian bands that I've seen. Transiberian Orchestra was here a week ago, but they sold out before I could get a ticket.
I haven't been to many but the ones i have been too were really quite enjoyable, the bands were as follows;
- Linkin Park
- Bullet For My Valentine
- Gallows
- The Berzerker
- Slipknot
- Dillinger Escape Plan
These are the bands I've seen live:
Iron Maiden (I'll see them a second time next June )
Slayer

Children Of Bodom
Morda (Belgian metalcore band)
Within Temptation
After All (Belgian thrash metal)

I haven't been around quite long enough to see too many, but of who I have seen, this little band called Man Man was definitely one of the greatest stage bands ever. They were insane, to say the least, and I know they'll be in Athens next month.
The best guitarist, by FAR, was Mr. B.B. King. Man, that was a rewarding experience to see him live. He is 83 years old and can play the blues like no one else...

that I'm too lazy to write here now

Seeing Buddy Guy, Portishead and The Flaming Lips later this year
Oh man, where to start... I guess it would make sense to start with the most impressive performers!
Arch Enemy (3 times.. if you EVER get a chance to see this band DO IT. Their performances are always perfection as far as guitar goes, and their live sound is so clear and perfect, unlike some other bands on the list)
Opeth (twice until next month... when you see these guys, you get a great metal show as well as some stand up comedy and trivia... they really are a complete package, lol)
Chimaira (twice, these guys are my boys, represent!)
Children of Bodom (they're just pure energy!)
Devildriver (twice)
Rammstein
Nile
Behemoth
Dimmu Borgir (are incredible, but need to fire their sound guys)
Megadeth
Crossbreed
Dark Tranquility
Machine Head
Strapping Young Lad/Devin Townsend Band
Lamb of God
God Forbid
Ozzy
Through the Eyes of the Dead
Godhead
Static-X
Lordi (lol, BAD)
There's been others, of course, but if I can't remember them, they must not be that great.
And the band that I want to see live more than any other band is... Spiritual Beggars... or maybe Carcass! Here's hoping they tour north america sometime... together!
Metallica (twice)
Corrosion of Conformity
Journey (twice)
Def Leppard (twice)
Powerman 5000
Korn (twice, never intentionally)
Kid Rock (three times, not intentionally, festivals)
DragonForce (twice)
Between the Buried and Me
Lacuna Coil (boring)
Chamaira (I didn't like them )
He Is Legend
Avenged Sevenfold
Killswitch Engage
Black Tide
The Confession
Nine Inch Nails

After April and May I'll be able to add:
Megadeth
Children of Bodom
In Flames
Job for a Cowboy
High on Fire
Symphony X
Opeth
Dream Theater
Between the Buried and Me (again)
Powerglove
There used to be a big festival here in town each summer for 3 days that would have all sorts of bands and it ALWAYS coincided with then last weekend of the spring semester for college, so we would sell our books back and then buy tickets/booze for the weekend, which is how I got to see a LOT of these ridiculous bands. When nothing was going on I would go make highschool football players who thought they were hot stuff feel inadequate in the mosh pit of the "rock" stage, and you can apparently really upset Strokes fans by moshing during their show, we had one thick rimmed glasses wearer almost in tears because the "Strokes hate mosh pits". There are lots more bands than that, but I can't think of them. I wish it were a quality vs. quantity scenario but clearly that is not the case LOL.
The Eagles of Death Metal
Richard Ashcroft (solo)
Coldplay
Limp Bizkit
Tape
Showaddywaddy
The Sweet
i saw journey with augeri and Van halen.
van halen was my favorite
Just saw DOWN...
I had the chance to see Eric Clapton's Crossroads concert this year....just awesome! ZZ Top, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, John Mayer, and more. BB King couldn't stop talking to play.
I probably see Buddy Guy play at his bar several times a year. Last year I went one afternoon and just sat with him at the bar and picked his brain for a while...
I have seen
Sabaton
Hammerfall x2
Blind Guardian
Too many to count, quite a few german bands most of you won't know, but the most famous bands I've seen so far were:
Blind Guardian
Kamelot
Green Day
Offspring
Bad Religion
Blink 182
A few concerts will follow within the next few weeks, gonna see Sum 41, Heaven shall burn and As I lay dying (not that these are super famous, but I'm still looking forward to it!)
