Acid Rain: The Start of the End

Part 1:The Acceptance

Verse:
It feels like rain,
Falling down upon me.
Hitting fast and way beyond me.
Faster and Faster, as it burns my skin.
Red blisters emerge from within.

It feels like hell,
As the fire burns from the skies.
Melting and rotting are own devices.
Why am I the only one,
Who predicted this feat,
Before it had begun.

I find it ironic,
How the darkest of enemys,
Become your friends,
When the finally find out,
This is how the world ends.

Why do they,
Act as if Im a prophet.
I cant help you all !
I cant even help myself !
You need to save yourself !
Before they get you to.

Chorus:
Some gave up,
Some rebeled.
But when your lifes on the line,
You cant fight yourself.

And who would have known,
That when humanity was on the line,
The people would turn to me,
As their only guide.

Im meerly a man,
Who saw it coming,
Tonight you'll sleep well,
But tommorow....
You'll be running!

Verse 2: How could they have slept last night ?
So unaware.
That the heavens were opening,
Should I even care ?
Should I stand my ground ?
Or Let all of them die,
And not make a sound!?!?!

When the morning sun arose,
And the world was still covered in black.
The people didnt know,
How to react.

"How do I save them ?
Am I sane ?
Society looks down upon me!
The world frowns upon me!
Would they accept my answers,
Or crucify the lost one.
Am I lost or did you lose yourself?"

Chorus:
Some gave up,
Some rebeled.
But when your lifes on the line,
You cant fight yourself.

And who would have known,
That when humanity was on the line,
The people would turn to me,
As their only guide.

Im meerly a man,
Who saw it coming,
Tonight you'll sleep well,
But tommorow....
You'll be running!

Verse 3:
They ran into the streets,
The city lights flickered on and off,
As some raindrops trickled from the skies.
It seemed normal at the time.
Until a shout in the distance,

"My eyes, My eyes !"

We saw the man laying on the ground.
The rain had burned his flesh,
Eating away at what was left,
And then out of nowhere,
More droplets fell,
Piercing threw the skin,
It was truly hell.

"Now they began remembering,
All the craziness I had said throughout those years,
My talk of the end of the world.
How acid rain would spit from the skies,
How the final storm would approach and sweep across the world,
And that this was only the beggining,
Of the end of the world."

Chorus:
Some gave up,
Some rebeled.
But when your lifes on the line,
You cant fight yourself.

And who would have known,
That when humanity was on the line,
The people would turn to me,
As their only guide.

Im meerly a man,
Who saw it coming,
Tonight you'll sleep well,
But tommorow....
You'll be running!

Verse 4: The people ran indoors,
To the closest stores.
Hiding, in anything that could be considered shelter.
The Acid Rain began falling faster,
This was way more then a disaster.

I ran inside,
The screams echoed in my mind.
People said " What do we do, how will this end ? Please tell us sir, After all we're your friends ! "

"The rain began cutting through everything,
It burned through clothes, and oozed onto the streets,
It wasnt just here,
It was everywhere.
Faith began to become sublimonal.
It no longer mattered who you are or where you where from,
People felt as if they knew you in this time of need.
They acted as if they knew me,
The homeless man that lived on the streets.
The man who talked about this for years,
The man who cried every night at the dreams he was having,
Of what was coming,
And knowing that he was the only one who could save the world,
And that the Acid Rain, was only the start of something bigger,
Something worse."

Hello everyone. smile.gif This is the start of a Lyrical Story that Im writing called Acid Rain: The Start of the End. Its another depiction of the end of the world.
The scenario itself is told through the eyes and experiences of "The Prophet". Who is only a homeless man. He plays almost no role in society other then "The Crazy Man". Who has been talking about "The End of the World " for years. Everyone in this city knows him. But only for this reason. We often neglect those of lower value in our society, we think they are worthless. When the city begans seeing strange occurances like waking up in the morning and noticing that it is pitch black outside and the sun is out, the began to become concerned. Then droplets of acid began falling from the skies and burning/killing members of the town. The must turn to someone they would have never turned to before, he knows whats going to happen.
Yet will he forgive those that have looked at him as "Crazy" for so long ?

I hope you guys enjoy this Lyrical Story biggrin.gif
