In this quick lick, we are going to do what I call a "Multipeggio". It's a sweep picking lick where you sweep one shape and then change the note that you are hitting with your pinky each time you sweep. Basically moving the pinky one fret each time you do the sweep. It sounds much more complex than it really is. If you want to get some speed on your sweeps this is for you.

This is very similar to our last quick lick so it should be a breeze if you have been keeping up! Hit me up with any questions.

Egad!!! That a lot of downloads! But check the previous Quick Licks from last week, 1500 plus downloads!! The Benpeggio from the week before that is over 2,000 downloads. Quick licks 67 has more than 7,000 downloads. Wow. smile.gif You did a fine job on this one and it's NOT an easy drill. It's based on the one from the previous week. So that one leads to this one. Then again it works the other way also smile.gif The previous one just uses the same note for the pinky pull off. This one changes it each time. Sort of like a pedal point arpeggio type of thing. You have good technique and control here and you keep string noise at bay!!! This can be played like one would play a chord, one strike at a time, or can be played with the pick rake technique like an yngwie sweep. You are doing it more like a broken chord striking each notes. This is fine as well. To increase smoothness and speed, try raking the pick in one direction going up then the other direction going down. This is what gives it a semi neoclassical vibe. It works just fine though plucked one note at a time. The key is to just keep it played even and smooth. Which you did!!! Score!!
You just..
LEVELED UP!!!

Nice!!! This is a complicated sweep lick and you just KRUSHED IT!!! I hope you join the new COLLAB from GABE and throw some of these quick licks in during your solo. I'd love to see you play them in a solo context. That's why I make these, to help folks not only increase their ability but to give them new ideas for things to play when making actual music. Very well played!!! In other words you just..
LEVELED UP!!!!!
