This is one of those tapping licks that you can use to make regular hammer on trills sound even faster. I first saw Paul Gilbert using this technique and stole it from him - thanks Paul
You have to tap, pull off the tapping finger and then hammer on the same note you just tapped, pull off again. So imagine you were just doing hammer ons and imagine you are substituting every 2nd hammer on for a tap instead. However, remember that in this lick I start with a tap ! Enjoy

Fun lick to play! I was little cramped for room on the 19-22 trill.

Thanks Ben! I actually stumbled across this uber-trill technique a couple months ago by accident. Though I haven't put together a lick for it or put it in a solo. Even with some familiarity with this technique, it is still tricky to pull this lick off climbing up the neck. I think the hardest part for me being when I get to the hammer on/tap at the 22nd fret and getting it all to sound out and even.
You know I'm going to have to lift this idea now and put it to use in a solo.
