Im not sure what to think of Disturbed... they are one of those bands i discovered a long time ago and liked but kinda shrugged it off once my tastes develuped more towards power,death,thrash and prog metals. But since ive started looking through some grindcore and nu metal a bit more ( killswitch, Threat signal, Hatesphere, Unearth. not bad grindcore and numetal )But i have found my 10,000 fists album and plugged it in and im not sure what to think.. its not that they are bad,, but i seem to get the impression they are really kiddy metal and frowned upon. do any real metal heads here have any respect for them or shud i put the album down and step away sloowwllyyy...

Believe is a much better "album" IMO, not that I actually have the vinyl....I was hooked on that one for a long time but you get burned out and recycle. I wore it out and I did not even own a guitar then. So yeah get that one if your not liking 10,000 anymore.

Am i getting this right? You want someones approval that Disturbed is good metal. so that you can enjoy their music? hmmm if so. Screw genres and screw what other people think, and listen to whatever your little heart desires. I like a huge range of music from Beethoven to Six Feet Under(cookie monster growling death metal)

If you liek it man listen to it, doesnt matter what other think..

and to the poster above me, Im the same way, From Jazz, Blues and Classical, to Metal and every genre, Death included! ( Six Feet Under are great by the way!)

Oh no its not that at all ill listen to whatever the hell i want thank you i just wanted other peoples opinions im not sure of what others think of them!
