Hi guys,
on thursday, I will be celebrating my 2-year anniversary at GMC! Therefore, I am taking a trip to Paris with my girlfriend...wait, we take that trip because of our 9-year anniversary, but I've told you about that in another thread.
Anyway, I was thinking a bit what these two years made of me...actually, I became really active in this forum last fall/ winter, so all the great experiences I have made aren't too old.
So, I've met a lot of cool people from all over the world here, sharing thoughts on all kinds of things, even on musical issues wink.gif
I have improved my guitar playing a lot, mostly thanks to my MTP with Lian (special thanks to you!), but also because of tons of great lessons here. If I had to pick three guitar instructors whose lessons helped me the most, it would be Lian, Gabriel and Marcus Siepen, but many lessons from other instructors have helped me improve my playing as well, so thanks to all the instructors here!
Since I use the rec-program on a regular basis I feel so much more motivated to learn and record new stuff, and the feedback helps a lot.
I am at the final phase of my first guitar mtp with Lian, and he thinks I have improved a lot! And I think so too, I am more confident when playing guitar, my technique has improved, everything is just perfect. And I get a really cool reward from him after the mtp (remember, Lian?).
I also bought a bass, made first steps on my own, then started an mtp with Bogdan, and after only one month of practicing I feel really comfortable playing the bass. Thank you for that, Bogdan!
I recorded two student instructor lessons, one is already released (style of Green Day), the other one is still pending (in the style of The Shadows / surf rock), a thrid one is nearly done (Scorpions style rock ballad)...
I discovered many many bands I never listened to before which have become my favourites.
I'm sure I have forgotten some things here, but still:
Thanks everyone at GMC for the great time so far, and I'll definately stay for many years to come.
So, I'll be off to Paris and will return on monday, maybe I'll show you some pics then...there is a possibility that I meet the french football team tongue.gif now that they have to leave the world cup.

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I'm back from my weekend in Paris, and I can tell you, it was great!
You'll get some pics and vids by the end of this week, but in short:
Fantastic weather, awesome food, live music from an american blues/folk/jazz band who played on a street (there is a huge festival going on in Paris at the moment, I think they came from there), witnessed a gay-pride parade (and walked with it because it was the only way to get to the hotel...) and and and...
It was an amazing time!
