Congrats on your second take at REC!

It's good to see that your right hand motion starts to look more consistent. There are still some work to do related that but I think that it looks much better.

Now you need more days of practice to gain strength and endurance since it seems that your hand gets tired in the second half and that's why the timing issues appear, as well as the sloppy sounding parts.

In some sections you tend to go after the beat, and sometimes it seems that you are muting the strings too much with the palm of your right hand so the notes extinct too quickly. Experiment with the position of your right hand over the bridge.

Another technique that requires some attention is your vibrato. In many cases it's not strong and regular enough. Remember to use the other fingers to help your third and forth fingers when doing both vibrato and bending.

Hey there!

First of all congrats on being brave to join our rec section for a second time, and for choosing my lesson. AS you probably suspect, as an author I can immediatelly spot some miastkes and give best possible feedback So....in order to make things correct you would first need to fix some wrong notes. There are at least 3 spots in the second half where you hit the wrong fret - you play minor run over major chord so it's easy to capture this as a harmonic missmatch. Simply review the tabs and you'll easily find where these spots are.

As for the playing...

There are some good things here. You respected reversed picking direction in the third part, which was one of most common things to be mistaken in recs for this lesson. Plus for you. Second thing. Your timming is quite nice. Sometimes single notes go out of sync but probably more a hesitation thing than hand mechanics problem. I also like the respect of palm muted vs open notes sections.

Your right hand works smooth and relaxed. I think your mechanics work just fine and if you keep practicing this way, you will need no additinal fixes.

Thing your missing is a tone from the hand and tone adjustment skills but that's not something that can be fixed with a few wise words from any instructors. It takes time, but to make it happen someday you need to keep on experimenting. Your actual tone is a little fizzy. It has a lack of fundamental midrange to cut through the mix. If you want to stick with it for now, at least add a few DB more to a guitar track volume. This way we can be sure that your playing is really clean (it really seems to be....another strong point of yours) but this guitar volume is at the edge of judging ability.


Be carefull with vibrato. Vibrato is built from two parts - moment of a tiny bend and a moment of full release. Don't be so nervous Try to make it more delicate until you really dig into vibrato mechanics. For now you tend to keep it a little to long in the "bend point" so it makes notes sound a little out of tune. Start from doing things slow and shallow. Then you will be able to increase "the bite" of your vibrato, while still being in tune. Well done

My feedback this time, just as last time - is that your right hand motion might not really convert to higher speeds in the best possible way. Look carefully at Darius to see how he locks in to a position with the right hand. The idea when developing speed picking is ´a la Paul Gilbert - is to make your right hand become a robot with no error margin. So you should remove all unnecessary motions.

Your playing here conveys an out-of-tune impression - probably because of the reason Darius mentioned - but you might also want to double check your tuning/intonation with a fresh pair of strings.

With better tuning this would earn a passing grade from me - but at this point I will give you a 5.
