hi Gabriel,

These'are my informations:

- i started playing guitar one year ago
- i like rock / hard rock / metal band like iron maiden, ac/dc, metallica, guns n roses etc... but i really don't want to focus only on one style because i think that to learn is more important to collect different styles and approaches like blues, jazz etc
- my guitar goals is to find a way to improve myself and show it to friends and eventually on stage joining a band
- in 5 years i'd like to see myself playing in a band at good level as an alternative hobby to a technical job
- i can play 1 / 2 hour per day in the week and 3/4 hour during week end (if family allows me to do it)
- i didn't have any live experience
- i think i can learn quickly and that is a strong point, i manage bend and vibrato and i can play fast but i also think i've missed some step and probably my basic technics is not so strong in term of rhythm and hand synchronization
- I know scales minor, major and pentatonics
- i can record video
- i'll will share some videos, tell my if there is some specific lesson you need to see

thank for engage me
bye

Hi Sereno, thanks for the info.

You can record anything you want. It's ok if you play what you usually play every time you pick up a guitar. It's to have a first reference.

- Guns 'n Roses - Sweet child 'o mine

- Iron Maiden - Aces High

- Eagles - Hotel California

- AC/DC - Back In Black

Hi Sereno, thanks for the vids. I've checked different parts and I've noted that you already have a good base and that the next step is to polish your overall technique to take it to a new level. We will work on weekly routines to train and adjust your playing in order to master your technique but also to expand your music vocabulary to be able to improvise and compose your own stuff.

This is what I think could be a good beginning:

ASSIGNMENT #1:

Warming up: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Picking-Arpeggios/

Alternate Picking: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Altern...king-workout-3/

Phrasing (bending & vibrato): https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Bendy-Blues/

What do you think?

Hi Gabriel,
Here we are,
I'm starting to work on lessons, sound good thank you!
How do you suggest to organize my time during this first week?
for example warming up all days and alternate phrasing and picking or study all lessons every day
have you some advice about that?
you label it week #1 expectation is to complete in one week and than go ahead on next lessons? is that the forecast plan?

I've changed the name to "assignment" since it's a more suitable way of name it. Your plan sounds good, less is more so if you think that you will feel more comfortable by starting with one lesson at a time it's ok, at least while memorizing. Then, during the polishing time you can work on some lessons at the same time.
