Our neighbours from the south-east border had lately a very hard times. If You watch the news or You've seen the videos on internet You know what was going on there in tha past few months. This is just ta little act of support from our band

That's a great song. Those brave souls who stood up to their corrupt leader, and overthrew him are very inspiring. Hopefully North Korea, and Syria will be next. I'm gonna share this video on Facebook.

Great song and touching gesture. It's awesome when see that people care about other people. Was a great idea to compose a song as an act of support. All my respect for this thing wink.gif

Nice song Darius. Though the subject gets very controversial, reminds me of 1917 in Russia.

Posted by: Darius Wave Feb 27 2014, 09:24 AM

Yes the topic is still very controversial. Poland and Ukraine also had somebad mamories from the past (fighting each other) but what I always think is that it's not regular people like me, You, or anyone here...it's the gouverments, military etc who makes those bad things...it's a shame...but I suspect most of us could live with no borders, no coutry names....just a one peaceful planet...

That's why we don't think of past we're just watching regular people like us being killed on the streets because they wanted to change things....

What an amazing gesture! I like the song and I think that all you stated is pretty much true sad.gif The regular people are the ones who always have to suffer due to the political games and machinations. The same things happen in my country, but the difference is that we are a bunch of cowards with no sense of civic spirit and that's why we don't change anything.

Thank You Cosm! That's right...our part of Europe has a really hard history behind...

Posted by: Mertay Feb 27 2014, 01:35 PM

Nice song, I followed the progress regularly on TV.

I'm both sad and happy for the people, so many injured and died but their courage led to victory.

Posted by: Darius Wave Feb 27 2014, 02:32 PM

I do follow the situation myself. I think they have chosen a new gouverment yesterday

I agree. I'm not sure why everybody is getting so nervous of Russia around Crimea. Why would Russia brutally start a war in a region they already control. Everyone there is Russian, everyone speaks Russian, it has Russian Oligarchs who control it, it has super autonomous status with the Ukraine with hardly any governance from them, hell they even wave Russian flags. In Russians mind Crimea is perfect the way it is.If anything it will become a disputed territory, and will be in a state of limbo. I can't imagine why so many people think Russia would risk its reputations even more by invading something it wouldn't even have to. The US needs to stay out of this one. smile.gif

Wow, i don't really understand why anyone can be afraid of Russia nowadays, looks like another phase of a new cold war biggrin.gif
Russia has it's Chernomorsky fleet in Crimea, but that's legitimate by the agreements.

It's my opinion that new Ukr should stop the discriminaton of Russian-language cause it's commonly used by a huge number of it's citizens, and stop the radical forces from bad-mouthing the memory of heroes who have done their best defending the Europe from different agressors. And i think most of the Crimean people would be satisfied with that smile.gif

I like the words of Enver Izmaylov, he is a very wise and interesting person, btw a guitarist.

He speaks about being people in this situation, and the right of Ukraine to be a stabile, multilingual and multicultural country.

You're right. Latest events happened to affect all Ukraine. but I also don't understand where is any kind of problem about the Crimean...

I didn't investigate the norms but it might be a similar deal of north-south cyprus. The Control is on Turkey on the north but most believe it has more economic disadvantages than advantages for Turkey though still its a "land" and has importance to it in itself...sort of like a wanted burden I guess for the Russians smile.gif

You ask why is ukraine such a big deal , I don't know but if this happens(happened) something has to be up doesn't it http://news.yahoo.com/russian-troops-over-ukraines-crimea-region-200052097.html

Yeah. They are protecting their navel fleet. The area is already Russian; so what are they gonna invade. The Ukraine doesn't control Crimea.

Weird things are happening. I was tracking most of news today. Hope it's not gonna go bigger then it's now...

Agreed, The more I read about these recent events and the history of Ukraine, it looks increasingly complicated and seems to be about much more than the generalization that part of the country wants to align itself with the European Union and another part wants to align itself with Russia.
It seems to go much deeper than that and I am not going to pretend to understand it all at this point. I also think that the US needs to be very careful as to how it gets involved or if it should get involved at all. But that seems to hinge on how Russia proceeds from here on out and how the rest of the world reacts. I can only hope the issues can be resolved without further hardships to the Ukrainian people. Or any people for that matter.

The problem is when 2 colosal empires like Russia and U.S.A get involved in any conflicts, it all smells very bad. Ukraine is our neighbuor country. I'm afraid if something goes wrong we will feel this as well...God; keep us away from the World War III sad.gif

well, Russia is all ready involved, so if they do invade further, what is there to do .I don' think We will get invovled, but Putin is ex KGB , and what we know from experience is they tell you one thing to cover up what they are really doing

Posted by: Cosmin Lupu Mar 2 2014, 02:40 PM

Unfortunately, I noticed some news about Russia's intentions... They have a big base near the Black Sea - about 16000 men, frigates and other warships... I don't even want to think about it as Ucraine is our direct northern neighbor..

Posted by: Darius Wave Mar 3 2014, 09:58 AM

Same with Poland. I'm sacred if something happens there, it will affect Poland as well sad.gif As I've seen in the news Putin doesn't care much about EU opinion....

I'd so get rid of all these political sharks... all of them. This world is going down because of the petty interests of some men which think they are above everything and everyone. Time is the only thing that is above everything and everyone. Why not leave something that will stand the test of time, instead of wanting to destroy things?

Posted by: Palacios Mar 3 2014, 05:40 PM

Don't worry. Team America world police will protect them. biggrin.gif We all saw what Bush's response was in Georgia. I honestly think the US should stay the hell out of this conflict. This is not our fight. If Europe gets threatened; thats a different story. I seriously doubt this will turn into a major conflict involving the rest of the Ukraine. If anything Crimea will become a "frozen territory" similar to North Cyprus, South Ossetia, Abkhazia. This is basically when someone calls a time out during a conflict. Russia doesn't have a warm water port; so Crimea provides them their only port for their Black Sea fleet. For them it's a matter of national security. Where else are they gonna put their ships? The problem for them is that this is a very unstable region. Even though the area is majority Russian; there's a lot of Muslim extremists there to. After all it is in the Caucus region. This could prove very costly for them. The Ukraine couldn't secure this region, and Russia sure as hell won't either.
