Bred didn't have anything to do with a virus, it's his fathers assistants fault for that. Brus doesn't fulfill his mission, but instead of him, doctor comes to fulfill it. But the main point is that doctor cannot prevent the virus, if you remember the assistant opened the bottle on the airport check, so the virus will spread. Doctor just came to eliminate the assistant, and take the virus so they can make a vaccine and get back on the surface again in the future.

But could it be possible that the actual mission to find the cure that Bruce Willis sets out to do, contributes to the Virus ever being made at all?

I'm not sure, although Bruce tells Brad Pitt's character about the virus and the twelve monkeys, I don't think thats were the assistant got the idea from. However that does lead to the whole belief of the "twelve monkeys" being the organisation that started the virus, because without Bruce telling Brad about that - there would be no "twelve monkeys". Which is a mind ***... And this is when time travel fails to make sense in my logical brain because in order for the "twelve monkeys" to ever have existed, when the present came to pass, the future had already happened in order for Bruce to be sent back in time....

MY BRAIN HURTS. literally.

One point I never hear talked about though, is the assistant that spreads the virus has a discussion with the Doctor woman about her book, and how big an influence her work has had on him. Now if she left her line of work as a Physciatrist at the hospital because of the events that take place when bruce first appeared, then she might not have influenced the assistant in to the spreading of the virus.

I'm very tired right now, and just *might* have consumed to much sugar today biggrin.gif Do I sound like an average 22 year old?!

I really liked this movie..I didn't full appreciate on the first watching...Hmmm now you inspired me to dig up the old DVD smile.gif Also I think I haven't seen Donnie Darko and I love time travel theme in movies , gonna look for it! Thanks smile.gif

12 Monkeys is one of the greatest movies ever.
Did anyone of you watch "Butterfly effect" ??.
Even though the cast is highly questionable it's an incredibly cool movie. But you have to watch the uncut version with the alternate ending. This ending makes the movie a standout in the time travel genre. If you watch the standard ending it's just another movie about time and dimensional

I haven't watched the uncut version, will do, thanks for the tip. Also I watched Donnie Darko a long time ago, and I completely forgot that the movie is about time traveling. I should rewatch that movie. wink.gif
