Got a newsletter from PRS and was forwarded to this video - can´t wait to get my hands on this! biggrin.gif

Well it´s been some time I could really participate at this forum as some of you might remember that I had to stop playing guitar because of a "guitar arm" (the same as a tennis arm but on the left arm dry.gif ).
It´s getting better now and the pain is slowly fading.....very carefully I can start practising/playing again.
To reward me for 3 (THREE!!!) weeks of No-Guitar I picked up some pedals I think EVERYONE should own...a Compressor and a serious Fuzz! laugh.gif

Here are the pics:

I just bought the EHX pedals today....man I love the Fuzz! biggrin.gif

Just thought I share this with you - keep on rocking (and ALWAYS warm up before serious playing!!!!)

Well,well,well...just got back from a vacation with my family and although I hoped that sun & sea will cure those nagging pains in my left elbow/lower arm/wrist....my hopes were in vain.
So off to the doctors I went and here we are: Tennis Elbow from playing guitar too much (that´s why I call it "Guitar Elbow") ohmy.gif

Symptoms
* Pain on the outer part of elbow (lateral epicondyle).
* Point tenderness over the lateral epicondyle – a prominent part of the bone on the outside of the elbow.
* Gripping and movements of the wrist hurt, especially wrist extension and lifting movements.
* Activities that use the muscles that extend the wrist (e.g. pouring a pitcher or gallon of milk, lifting with the palm down) are
characteristically painful.
* Morning stiffness. (in the ELBOW!!! wink.gif )

My doctor said it can last up to 7 months and it would be best to not repeat the motion leading to this predicament.....ARRRRGHHHH!
No way!
What I WILL do is this: try to figure out new positions of sitting and resting my arm/elbow which might not put too much of a strain on my "tender lateral epicondyle".

Anyone else had experience with this? Would be good to know how you coped?!

Cheers all

Well,....er....yes...yesterday I informed you about my new buy: a Marshall JVM 205C (see here: http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...howtopic=36082).

It´s a GREAT amp, but......a bit loud for my room! laugh.gif

Just wanted to check if some of you have experience with Power attenuators and if you could recommend one.
ATM I´m looking at THD Hot Plate (8 Ohms - and obviously in an other color! dry.gif )

- it´s quite expensive but I think it would allow me the following things:
-) Play my amp on full, dynamic setting at low volume
-) Use my full amp potential (pre- and power section) in Silent recording

Really looking forward to your feedback !

Cheers!

Just wanted to let you know that I just got home from my local music store and have unpacked this (very heavy) baby (see pic) rolleyes.gif

I´m sure quite a lot of you have own it as well and I hope you are still as happy with it as I am at the moment. wink.gif

I used to be a advocate of the "amp modelling by software" school, but that was mainly because I was to greedy & lazy to buy a REAL amp.
But having bought my lovely PRS (here´s the link again: http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...showtopic=34746 biggrin.gif )
it felt more and more like driving 50meters round the corner to buy some butter and bread with a Ferrari.

Zakk recommended the JVM series in a "Looking for new amp" thread - so this was good enough for me to do some research and BINGO! - I could not find one negative review at all - quite the contrary, most of the reviews were very, very good indeed.

Honestly people - did I have a choice?! Nah!
It seems as new (expensive) gear just clings to myself on the way out of the shop - and before I get busted for being a shoplifter I´m paying of course laugh.gif laugh.gif
