Well guys, I finally decided what amp to get. Some of you might remember I was considering a fender deluxe reverb reissue, which I almost got. However, I chose to stick with Mesa. I had an F-50 head and 112 combo amp, and decided I really liked how it sounded but it was still just too heavy to lug around. So I've gone to the f-30 in the same series.

It has el84 tubes, which is a bit of a change from the 6l6's in the '50, but I don't expect the change in tone to be drastic, I like both anyway. It's 30 watts, but has a 'dyna-watt' thingamadoozie that is supposed to increase power dynamically. It's also a really cool green vinyl and tan grillcloth unique color. Will update you guys when it gets here smile.gif

Yeah, the f-50 really is quite... satisfying to play. I'm hoping something similarly satisfying in a more movable package smile.gif

wow looks great! Lately I've started to like EL84 more and more, today I'd pick one over EL34 or 6L6 tubes. EL84 sound more lively, imo that is.

I'll soon have an electro harmonix POG running in front of it as well, I've wanted one of those for a while. Should be here sometime next week, I think I'll get both of those at once.

Did you ever get around to posting any clips? I'm looking to buy one of these amps (once I sell one of my guitars).
