We had an awesome competition this time - I would say that this was the best ever at GMC! We got 106 new articles, and they were such high quality that we were obliged to add extra points early on as we were constantly impressed by the articles that came rolling in!

As you are aware, the final phase of the competition is the awarding of additional points for the 5+ articles, and without further ado, here are the additional points!
  • ZakkWylde
    • Pantera - 5
    • Rage Against the Machine - 6
    • Black Sabbath - 6
  • OrganizedConfusion
    • Pearl Jam - 5
  • Fire
    • Nirvana - 6
    • Bob Dylan - 7
    • Greenday - 7
  • Fran
    • The Cure - 8
    • The Subways - 3
    • Sum 41 - 4
    • Papa Roach - 6
    • Shredneck - 3
    • Bush - 4
    • Bruce Speingsteen - 7
    • Eric Clapton - 3
    • BB King - 3
    • Chuck Berry - 2
  • Kaznie_NL
    • Korg AX5G - 3
    • Frusciante - 5
    • Harmonics - 5
    • The Eagles - 5
    • U2 - 3
  • Nick325
    • AC/DC 7
So, with that in mind, I can now announce the winners!!!

In first place, leading the field by an impressive margin with a total of 161 points is:

Fran

Down in second place, things were always close ... in the end, with the addition of the 5+ points, we had a reverse, and the second place with 97 points goes to:

Attached Image

Fire

Just behind, with a difference of just one point at 96, is:

ZakkWylde

You guys did an awesome job, and redefined the quality of our Wiki - thanks to you 3 for all of your wonderful entries, and to everyone else who entered! An honourable mention goes to Kaznie_NL, who, although he didn't place, is only a little behind the top 3 with 81 points!

So, the final leaderboard looks like this:

Winners, be sure to PM me with your names and addresses so I can send your prizes out smile.gif

Amazing!! Thank's a lot guys for putting up this competition, it was a blast to take part in it!
Congrats to the other winners, Fire and Zakk, you guys did an awesome job and truly deserve it, and it was great watching your entries, I had a lot of fun the first weeks of the competition specially watching Fire write loads of entries along with me, it really kept me stuck to the keyboard!, and more will come! I'm currently working on Jimmy Page wink.gif

Kaz you did a great job too, it was a pretty narrow end of competition though, your entries were awesome.

Thanks again, all the mods/seniors have worked a lot grading our stuff and keeping the scores, specially you Andrew. Thanks guys for making GMC so amazing! I'm so happy I have won a GMC competition! I will treasure that Pandora because it comes from my favourite site on the internet ever, GMC!! cool.gif

Thanks again smile.gif smile.gif

Hard competition until the last seconds, third place by just one point...

Either way I needed the delay pedal more than the pandora and I would have switched prices with the third place if I had become second so I'm happy with it. I'm going to post Kaz the outcome because he's on vacation...

QUOTE ("Steve Vai")
Start by playing something - a bend, a riff, a scale, a song - very slowly; if you make a mistake, start over; do this over and over, until you can play it flawlessly - and I do mean flawlessly - many times in a row. Next, gradually increase the tempo. Eventually you'll be flailing like a madman.

Thanks guys. To bad I didn´t win anything.

Great job Fran, I don´t know how you managed to get so many articles, and also to Zakk and Fire. Oh, and Zakk, your text didn´t come... Probably because I said 06.... and it should have been 00316... because I´m abroad!
