Hello folks,

I'm loving the tone on Sinisa's latest video. I have TH-U where would I start getting close? I know a lot is in the fingers but I can try wink.gif

I don't think it's on YT but here is the Facebook link https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid...p;id=1069498598

Cheers

Nice tone Phill.

I think i would start with a humbucker type guitar.
Use a bit compression, then a little bit of tube screamer gain, just a Tiny bit.
And then a analog style delay and nice reverb 😎

Attached File  Sinisa_by_Gab.zip ( 4.2K ) Number of downloads: 30

I feel that the second video sound closer, but now I need to work on the ambience which is still not there.

I think his pickups are very dynamic, so the guitar itself is important too to get as close as possible.

I'll have a little tinker when I get home tomorrow, for now, I've had a little noodle, mainly trying different picking dynamics and I also threw some double stops in to see how it responded.

I think that maybe there is a little bit too much delay and I think it might need a little more middle tone, I can't put my finger on what is missing but then again I don't have much experience of creating tones.

Obviously this guitar is a budget Squier compared to Sinisa's guitar and the playing is light years away but it's great to do these things.

Maybe it could become a monthly workshop where a student finds a tone they like and instructors & students can work on it. I guess it will be tricky as we don't all have the same software but at least with TH-U the interface looks like the real deal so the settings could be closely transferred to other software and hardware.

I had my guitar volume around the middle, I think I could have had it a bit higher, tone was full and I was using both pickups.

Spoke to Sinisa and he shared this if it helps nail the tone. Personally I don't understand it huh.gif but maybe someone will be able to use it wink.gif

Bias fx2 for a clean, and Neural DSP Plini for a lead part

Gabriel is pretty close with the explanation, but I’d just say I never put a compressor in the chain, for the simple reason that it kills the dynamics at the start.

I prefer to put it in post processing, if necessary.

Also, reverb is a long plate type, gives a larger dimension

It sounds like he is going back and forth with a coil split for some of those snappier tones and then both coils for some of those smoother runs, maybe?

That neural amp has a lot of gain to it, some believe it might be a modern EVH amp (personally I don't think it belongs to anything, likely software modded gain stage to the lower gain amps which are friedman-like). I didn't like it when rolling down the volume with my guitar, but decreasing the input gain was better.

The modern amp (ch3) and cab. seemed a bit closer right off the bat... probably a few high-gain amps in THU should work but adjusting the cab. will take some time.

There is a VOX rig pack that would probably get you most of the way there and then just a bit of tweaking smile.gif

https://overloud.com/products/choptones-vocs-30c1

Of course you could just start with the TOP 30 amp which is the VOX clone and use vox clone matched cab and the Vtreble booster for the starter tone and add fx from there. That's the basic tone idea
he is using in BIAS. Add FX to taste. For the lead, put an overdrive in front or even two of them and boost to taste.
