Hey there,
I recently discovered a nice packet which I want to share with you. smile.gif It includes the SESSION I/O audio interface, the GUITAR RIG 3 XE software, CUBASE LE 4®, KORE PLAYER and KORE SOUNDPACK "POP DRUMS". What else do you need for professional recording? If I get some money, I´ll spend it on this maybe.

What do you think about this little studio? Have you got any experiences with it? Or with another GUITAR RIG product?

I´m looking forward to your answers. smile.gif

Cheers,
Tolek

Edit: I´m so stupid. xD I forgot to add the link. Here it is.

Guitarrig 3 is excellent, i dont know about the kore player though, maybe you'r better off just buying Guitarrig 3, however included Cubase might be nice...

I can totaly recommend Guitar Rig 3! I got mine from my uncle after he moved on to "Bigger and better things", to quote him.

But isn't the POD X3 and Toneport UX1 better then the hardware that comes with the package?

It is a better interface then TOneport, it has better converters, and it is faster I suppose if GR3 has to run on it with minimal latency. OF course it is more expensive as well..

I hope that someone will post a good review on it. smile.gif Here is one that I just found: guitar rig session review
I´ll read it tomorrow (or rather today when I wake up biggrin.gif). I hope it helps.

From that review, I get the impression that you get a downgraded version of Guitar Rig 3, and have to pay another 200 euro (300 bucks) to get the "full" version..

thats what ive heard as well.. a friend of mine uses guitar rig for all his stuff and he has some great tones.. i like the idea of the package but i would rather get the full version and the footswitch.. i think its worth the extra cash..

I don't think guitar rig control is worth that kind of money, but software is worth every cent and beyond. Of course if one has the money for GR Control, then why not buying it, money is made to be spend smile.gif

Guitar Rig 3 is an awesome software, I don't use anything else anymore to record here at home. I only bought the software itself though since I am using Pro Tools and therefor don't need any other recording software or audio interface.

Gut zu wissen, dass ein BG-Gitarrist dies benutzt, danke. smile.gif

One has to have the money. biggrin.gif As I said before, if my plans become real, I´ll buy a bit. biggrin.gif

Another question to all:
Is it better to buy this packet or only the software with some other stuff to record?

i just don't know if i would use this program live.. or if im better buying the pedals i would use live and a micraphone so im getting my sound that i would use live into my computer that way.. or if i should buy my live setup and this program and just try and recreate sound.. i think guitar rig is worth the money but if i buy it and find a sound i like i want to be able to use it live so the footswitch is the only way to go for me.. and instead of having a pedal board i just bring my laptop smile.gif

Yeah, it´s USB 2.0. smile.gif

I just thought about the role of gear in live performance and recording. Yesterday, Kjutte told me that I can connect my amp with my computer´s soundcard. So, I can use the pedals I buy for recording and live performances. I think it´s better when I buy a good soundcard and some pedals and use reaper as recording interface. Is it a good choice? Which soundcard should one buy in order to get a clear sound? (It should be under 150€)

I use GR 3 software with my Line6 Toneport GX... I love it. Seems (to me, at least) to sound better than Gearbox or Amplitube 2. Very nice soft.

Took a lot to make it sound good with my Toneport, but well worth the effort.

Cheers.
