GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ My First Album!

My band and I just finished our first album, while not a commercial album, it has 10 songs and will be sold on our shows.
we worked really hard on it, and it sounds amazing!
nothing innovative, just pure good hard rocking, with great drums, bass lines, great guitar solos, powerful vocals.
Something which is actually very missing in Hebrew music, so I hope we will be able to lead a rock revolution here.
Hopefully some songs will be up on myspace soon.
I'm just thrilled, this is a dream come true for me(even if I'm not the guitarist) to have a CD with my name on it and one that I'm very proud of, we worked really hard on it, and hopefully it will pay off

give me a heads up on one of your shows so i can come see and check out the cd, i live in yahud so more likely things that are close to tel aviv and such

Cool man ! You can publish them on Soundclick.com , it even allows You to sell them for download.
Just make a post when they are uploaded somewhere, I think a lot of of is curious !!!!

It will be released almost worldwide later this year.
This is my first time mixing a real album, with a great band, so I'm pretty thrilled
It's a great feeling when you've accomplished something like that, and I'm sure you feel the same way

?They're called ELD
Former name was A Winter Within.
This is the second album under the name ELD.
The drummer have played and released albums with Forlorn, Gehenna and Aeturnus in the past.
Oh, and he's one of the best drummers I've heard and seen ever
It's a really great album to be honest.
Slow melodic (gloomy), full blast, and in between with grimvocals as well as some clean backing vocals etc.
I'll let you know when it's out

Great job Iluha, somehow it reminded me of Nickelback. You really did an awesome job on overall quality of the final product. Hope one day a recording company would apreciate this and make you a good marketing investiment. This album really deserves it...

Acutally the guy who did the mastering used Nickelback as a reference for sound, so maybe that's the reason.

we might, the fear is of piracy, in Israel it's VERY evident..
Does that really matter to you? Isn't it more important (for now) to grant some name, then to make money? IMHO it would be better if you have 20 sold cd's and 20 million illegal downloads of the album, then 25 sold cd's.... These number are extremely exagerated ofcourse

Just listened to the ballad! It sounds great man! I wish you a success with CD! Don't discard the option of selling CD online (piracy is always hard to beat regardless if CD can be bought on shows or online) since its a great system of distribution for your music worldwide!

Well, we just don't want to be TOO availble, the cd in itself is for promotional purposes mostly, and part of the idea is to have people really want to hear us instead of just anyone just getting mp3's of the songs.

OK, yesterday we had our CD release show, and man it was awesome!
I'm starting to work on our myspace page now, it will have our entire cd up for listening, and videos from the show, I'll open a new thread when it's done.
