You should really check out this finnish band "Tenhi". Their music is VERY mellow and usually only instrumental, very acoustic-driven. Here are some of their songs:

If you consider Porcupine Tree a softer band, then I suppose you don't need it to be that soft.
Anyways, try out these: Explosions in the Sky - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36U4ez7AzKA Blackfield (with Steven Wilson!) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrIqp4vBgP8 Camel - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-aezncdri9Y Eluvium - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_HG__6exOE Head Control System - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwrtQOZgavM (Ok, not soft, but since you had Porcupine Tree as a soft band it could still work. Great band nevertheless) Jan Johansson - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CeqBE_EP7A Red Sparrowes - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diMHtsrBiR0 Sigur Rós - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0AZIFmkogY That'll be enough for now. |
