Check out this clip. All I"m changing is the amount of pressure I"m putting on the bridge for the palm mute. My picking intensity stays the same. I play each lick twice, once with a light mute, then with a heavy mute. it makes a drastic difference.

I sometimes have people download my 11 rack patches and send me recordings that don't sound like the patch. After some digging, I found out it was mostly just a lack of right hand pressure making things go wrong for folks.

Give this a listen and see if you can tell the difference in mute smile.gif It really is the secret to Heavy tone. This patch doesn't use that much gain so it sounds much lighter with a lighter mute.
