I think I'll go for the Blues Grooves, of all the lessons it was the one that scared me the most and the one I thought "damn, I can't play that!" so I figure, it's exactly the one I should go for tongue.gif

Finally, on holidays so that means more time yay biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

The lesson is presenting a huge obstacle for me but it's different from what I was expecting. It's not about the speed of the licks, it's not even the occasional hybrid picking. It's the timing that's messing with my head. In lower tempos it's even worst laugh.gif

Still, here's a glimpse of how it's going for you to see.



Also around the 22sec mark, that lick is giving me a hard time because I either don't mute the strings like it happened on the video or I miss the timing of the pre-bend so it's something I'm gonna try to isolate to improve.

I'm trying to go around this lesson in blocks so I want to learn the 1st minute right before going to the next or do you think I should learn everything at least and than attack one block at a time?

hehe yeah, slow tempo + blues licks + 6/8 can be a killer combination. I don't think that you are far but there is definitely more work to do in order to feel more comfortable with the timing and give more groove to these cool licks.

How to practice? It's up to you. Maybe you can try playing the whole thing over the original lesson for some minutes before playing it alone with the backing. Working on small fragments as loops always help too.

As you've posted this video some days ago (I missed it!), I think that maybe there is an update coming very soon.
