I have several guitar books (beginner/theory/tech/rock/heavy metal/jazz/blues/funk ans so on) and a few DVDs of lessons from guitar players like Michael Angelo Batio, but it's very hard for me to sort it all in the right order. I always take something from here & there and I end up frustrated at the end. GMC is an amazing place to improve one's skills, but I still have that tendency to "learn it all" and to watch all the videos (which I believe is a truely impossible task). So I'd be glad to work with you and get some great tips on playing & practicing. ^^ I already started the Bushido classes & Todd's Shredding Journey. Greetings from Silistra! |

I finally installed ASIO4ALL, but it doesn't make any difference. The humming's still there.
Any ideas? Or is the only solution an external sound card? |

Hey Dian! The best solution out there would be an external sound card - I am not aware of what you could do with the humming though
 If it doesn't provide the best results, you could start a thread in the Gear section and I am sure that Todd for instance - he is a gear head could help out with this technical sort of stuff.Now, in the mean time - I would be curious to hear some takes on the following lessons from you, based on what we have discussed before: For the expression development - I think this one should get you going https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/The-Vo...Of-Your-Guitar/ and for some rhythm chops, how about this one? https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/rhythm-gu...d-rock-rhythm3/ Please tell me if they are too difficult so we may try something else. Here's the video of the first task: The Voice of Your Guitar I'm kind of busy this week, so I'll have to record the rhythm part next tuesday. Is it alright? Also, I recorded the third part of the 'Soundtrack Homework' for the next videochat. |

This is very good - you nailed those quirky bends that everyone misses on this take  Well, I think you are on the right path with this one - only small details (some bends and some notes that were very slightly off time) that need a little bit of polishing, but they will come into place, the more you play it Looking forward to the V-chat homework and no worries, take your time

Hey Dian! It sounded good, but you need to check your guitar as it's a bit out of tune
Now, Out of what I've seen, you need to work a bit more on riffing, just because, even though you played correctly from a technical perspective, you still need to work in order to create a groove, so if it's alright with you, I'd like you to have a go at this: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Funk-Rhythm-Swing-Feel/ Hope you're not cursing me or something, but I want to push you higher Cosmin |
