So try to stay in the tempo and key/chords crazyfret used. We still need a couple more related rhythms with maybe a little distortion. What we write from this point forward will need to sound good over some part of the Maelstrom.mp3 already upload. It is the backbone of the song. Be sure to listen to the whole Maelstrom.mp3 it does change. The stuff we write may end up not mix over the Maelstrom.mp3 in the final mix. But playing over it creates one heck of a great environment to write. Remember however, that all ideas will be considered for this or maybe a future song so if you write a really cool riff, keep up with it. It will likely get used. I have some stuff brewing and I think what I'll do next is go over Maelstrom and lay down a few licks in beat and separate them so they are more like little sample clips that leedbreak can then insert wherever he feels is cool. Its starts around 1:10. Check it out and tell me what you think about it, its really simple but i got alot of ideas to add to it, im just thinking which idea would fit best. I also recorded a solo/lead just after riff, it ends around 2:05. The solo is in the key of D minor so tell me what you think about it, if i should delete it, change it, change the key, etc. Also, the chords i used are really simple, its a D5 Powerchord and C5 Powerchord sliding between themselves and using Palm muting on the low E string: D5 Powerchord: E\|----------- B\|----------- G\|---------- D\|----7----- A\|----5----- E\|----------- C5 Powerchord: E\|----------- B\|----------- G\|---------- D\|----5----- A\|----3----- E\|----------- You are at GuitarMasterClass.net Don't miss today's free lick. Truth be known, I am totally infatuated with a couple of GMC lessons and I just can’t seem to stop practicing them. I will add more this weekend. This file is with some midi bass added, not to good but I can make the bass as a wave file next and it might be good enough. I did this at work so there maybe too much bass when heard through good speakers. Slow steps but we are going to do this, I promise. This file is each maelstrom_rythm in a shorter version. It basically is an arpeggio(not a sweeping one) in the shape of a C chord, but just on string D A and E.the end part is the same chord shape just strummed instead of picked.
